Course flyer for spring 2025 SPAN 6020; SPAN 6020.601 Online synchronous W 6:00-9:00 CRN 35504 Contemporary Issues of the Hispanic World: Eco-Fictions from Latin American Women Writers This course examines environmental problems (global warming, industrial farming practices, extractionism, toxic wastes, etc.) as cultural problems resulting from the nexus of the technoscientific world view and globalized neoliberal capitalism. In it, we will analyze Latin American climate and ecological fictions by contemporary women authors from an ecocritical, ecofeminist perspective.
