Tues., Oct. 29 2-3:30 p.m.; Emerging Voices: David Ramos Workshop

The Emerging Voices Series by Foreign Languages and Literatures presents Davis Ramos from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Ramos’ lecture, “Global Visibilities: Between Representation and Experience in Mexico, Spain, and France” covers visibility’s multifaceted impact on commodities, politics, and drama in Mexico, Spain, and France. Discover how visibility transforms social issues, lived experiences, market dynamics, national identity, and perceptions of violence.

Emerging Voices is a lecture series spotlighting the work and thought of early career academics and writers. These events are hosted by ECU’s Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, thanks to support from the Linda E. McMahon Distinguished Professorship.
