The film tells the touching story of a young boy named Carlitos who embarks on a journey from Mexico to the United States to reunite with his mother, who has been working illegally in the U.S. to provide a better life for him. Along the way, Carlitos faces numerous challenges and meets a variety of characters who shape his journey.
