Dr. Araceli Hernández-Laroche visits as Linda E. McMahon Distinguished Guest Speaker

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Dr. Araceli Hernández-Laroche on Wednesday, April 3rd, at our Linda E. McMahon Distinguished Guest Speaker Series. Her speech emphasized the importance of building a diverse community of language speakers. During her talk, Dr. Araceli had students, faculty and other guests engage with each other using “La Loteria de El Centro”. Prior to the her talk at a Meet & Greet, Dr. Araceli shared a touching moment with Pirates as they discuss their “raison détre” or “reason to be” in higher education.
