German Alumnus: Tim Miscovich (2014)

Tim Miscovich graduated from ECU in 2014 with B.A. in German and a minor in business. Later he worked as an Industrial Engineer for FedEx in Frankfurt, Germany, then as Trading Specialist for State Street, also in Frankfurt. He is currently Chief Commercial Officer at wtec (smart building infrastructure) in St. Augustine, Florida, headquartered in Bad Homburg, Germany.

“Studying German at ECU was, in hindsight, one of the best decisions I have ever made, though I didn’t realize it at the time. Learning the language not only expanded the way I think but also opened the door to understanding German culture through music, film, and meaningful personal connections. When I traveled to Germany, my ability to speak the language allowed me to form deeper, more authentic relationships–something I noticed stood in contrast to the experience of many other Americans.”
